  • Milhouse comments to Bart that nothing interesting seems to happen in Springfield, setting the stage for a series of short stores, including Principal Skinner's problems with hosting a lunch for Superintendent Chalmers, Lisa trying to get bubble gum out of her hair, and Homer getting Maggie locked into a newspaper rack

  • When Homer discovers his taste in music is different from his kids', he takes them to Hullabalooza, where his talent for having cannonballs bounce off his stomach gets him a spot in the freak show - but his next ball may be his last





  • April 28 - Radioactive Man (2F17)

  • The Radioactive Man movie is being made in Springfield, with Ranier Wolfcastle as Radioactive Man and Milhouse van Houten as Fallout Boy - but the pressures of success and movie work prove to be too much for Milhouse, who runs from the climactic scene





  • April 29 - Lemon of Troy (2F22)

  • Bart leads a gang of Springfield's boys into Shelbyville to return Springfield's town lemon tree, while Homer leads their fathers in to return Springfield's boys





  • April 30 - Home Sweet Home-Diddly-Dum-Doodily (3F01)

  • While Homer and Marge are at a spa, Bart and Lisa are involved in incidents at school that prompt Principal Skinner to send a Child Welfare agent to the house, resulting in the kids being given to foster parents - Ned and Maude Flanders

  • Lisa, along with singer Barry White, try to stop the annual "Whacking Day" celebration, where the town's snakes are clubbed to death; Bart is expelled after an incident involving Groundskeeper Willie's tractor and Superintendent Chalmers' rear





    May 4 - Marge vs. the Monorail (9F10)


    A smooth-talking salesman talks the town into building a monorail which soon goes out of control, and the only thing that can save the passengers is the competancy of the conductor - Homer

  • Under the influence of a little too much beer, Homer makes a fool of himself at a baseball game, but the owner notices how he gets the crowd involved and hires him as the team mascot, where his ability gets him promoted to the big leagues - in another city

  • When Lisa sees an ugly caricature of herself, Homer tries to make her see that she's beautiful by entering her in the Little Miss Springfield contest, where she finishes second, but when the winner is struck by lightning, Lisa uses her newfound fame to strike back at the evils of society, much to the chagrin of the sponsors

  • Homer fakes his death in order to get out of weekend cleanup work, resulting in his mother returning to Springfield despite the fact that (according to Grampa) she was dead; when Bart and Lisa discover a trail of fake IDs, she reveals that she's been on the run for 25 years after an incident involving Mr. Burns
